Beastie

The desire to explore the unreachable led Stef to buy a used 2013 Toyota 4Runner in August of 2014. Car modifications have always appealed to her and this truck was as basic as you could get and ready for some tweaks.

Sliders, roof rack, tent, awning, suspension, tires, ladder, front bumper, dual swing arm rear bumper, wheels, lights, 3rd row seat delete, fridge, deep cycle battery, bigger tires, better suspension, snorkel. I’m sure I’m missing something. Over the last 8 years there have been many projects, many hours, and many dollars spent on what has become one of her favorite hobbies. Beastie, or Vehicle of The Apocalypse as my nephew calls it, really has become impressive.

We have been off-road with Beastie to some extraordinary places in Washington, British Columbia, Oregon, Colorado, Wyoming, Arizona, Montana, Idaho, Utah, and New Mexico. There is so much more to see so hopefully Beastie still has lots of life left because we have places to go!

The great Dr. Seuss wrote “You’re off to great places! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, so….get on your way!” This world has such awe-inspiring places. Get out there and explore!
